WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic University Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Sean Sullivan announced today that Allison Baney has been hired as the Athletic Communications Assistant. She comes to Catholic with a broad range of experience in college athletics as a student assistant at Landmark Conference rival Juniata and as an intern at Division I Penn State.

"Allison is going to help our Communications effort in many important ways," said Sullivan. "She comes to Catholic having gained vital Sports Information experience at fellow Landmark Conference member, Juniata College. This gives her a solid knowledge base of our league and scope of operation. Additionally, Allison's highly visible experiences in event management at Penn State, only expanded her skill set in ways which will nicely complement our Communications team."

Baney will coordinate communications efforts for field hockey, men's cross country, women's cross country, women's basketball, softball, men's tennis and women's tennis.

As an undergrad student, Baney served as an athletic communications student assistant at Juniata where she assisted with graphic design and worked primarily with the baseball team. Following her first semester in Happy Valley, Baney was awarded a scholarship to attend the College Athletic Operations Services (CAOS) conference at Mauston, Wisconsin in 2017.

Baney received her bachelor of science degree in sport management from Juniata in 2018.
