Catholic to Celebrate Eighth Annual Division III Week April 1-7

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Catholic University athletics department will participate in the NCAA's eighth annual celebration of Division III Week April 1-7, 2019. In addition, National STUDENT-Athlete Day is on Friday, April 5.

During Division III Week, member schools are encouraged to conduct and promote at least one one academic, athletic, co-curricular or extra curricular event that celebrates the comprehensive Division III student-athlete experience. The event is part of Division III's Identity Initiative, which was introduced in 2010 to sharpen the division's identity and enable schools, conferences and student-athletes to consistently why they prefer to compete in Division III.

Catholic Athletics will be using its website and Instagram to feature its student-athletes and promote the event, with each day having its own theme. We encourage followers on social media to use the hashtags #D3Week, #NCAAD3 and #whyD3.
