Cassidy became the graduate assistant for the office of athletic communications in July of 2018. He assists in the communications efforts of the athletic department as he currently pursues his master's degree in business analysis from Catholic. 

Cassidy joined the Catholic Univeristy athletic department in 2015 as a student worker in operations while earning his bachelor's degree in media & communication studies and a minor in sports management from CUA. He began working in the sports information office as a junior in the fall of 2016, serving as a public address announcer and assisting the department's broadcasting efforts.

A Pasadena, Md. native, Cassidy attended high school in Baltimore at Archbishop Curley, where he played baseball and basketball. He covered Catholic University's sports as editor for Catholic's student newspaper, The Tower, for two years before serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the publication his senior year.
