Joseph M. Della Ratta '53

Inducted June 8, 1985

The last man to earn letters in four sports, Della Ratta was captain of the basketball team as a junior and president of his senior class. He scored 1,093 points, making him the first in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark. In recognition of his four years of outstanding service to the University as a scholar, an athlete, and a gentleman, Della Ratta was awarded the 1953 Harris Cup trophy, the most coveted athletic award CUA offers its graduating seniors.
