WASHINGTON - After a season-opening sweep for The Catholic Universtiy of America baseball team, senior Jack Hennessy and junior Collin Brown have been selected as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.

Hennessy spear-headed Catholic to the sweep of Cabrini and hit the walk-off single in the second game of the doubleheader. The senior shortstop went 4-for-6 in the two-game set including a 3-for-3 game with two RBI in the second contest. In game one he added a hit and a walk as the Cardinals also won in walk-off fashion.

The Cardinals' two walk-off wins came large-in-part to the pitching of Brown. Trailing 2-1 in the first game against Cabrini, Brown entered in relief and was nearly unhittable, stymying the Cavalier bats over 3.0 innings with six strikeouts and just one walk as he picked up the Cardinals first victory of the year.
