The Cardinals outhit the Shoremen 17-7 through the game. They scored runs in seven innings, leaving only the fourth and fifth innings blank.

Catholic opened the game with a three-run top of the first. Hennessy waited on second base as Crist cracked a single up the middle and brought in the Cardinals first run of the contest. Junior Bailey Lewis hit a double next before senior Anthony Ferlise sent a two-RBI single down the leftfield line to advance the Catholic lead to 3-0

With the bases loaded in the second inning, Lewis wore a pitch that brought in freshman Tighe Watson. Senior Brennan Cotter followed with a fielder's choice that scored Hennessy before the Shoremen retired the inning.

Washington College answered in the bottom of the second with six runs but Catholic bounced back with two more in the top of the third when senior Danny O'Hagan blasted a two-run homer over the leftfield fence.

The Shoremen tied the game with one run in the third and took the lead, 9-7, with two in the fifth before the Cardinals held them scoreless in the final four innings. Catholic rallied with eight runs in their last four opportunities to claim the victory.

Cotter sent a single to left center to score Crist before sophomore Connor Sullivan drove in Lewis for a two-run sixth inning. Watson came home on a Shoremen's defensive miscue in the seventh and Cozad crossed the plate on a wild pitch in the eighth.

With the bases loaded in the ninth, a Washington College error brought home Hennessy before Cozad doubled down the rightfield line to drive in senior Alec Dolton, Lewis and Cotter for the 15-9 triumph.
