WASHINGTON - After an impressive week at the plate, senior Brennan Cotter of No. 24 The Catholic University of America baseball team has been selected as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.
Cotter recorded 10 hits in 12 at-bats for a .833 batting average to help Catholic to a 3-1 week. Cotter added 10 RBIs and five runs over four games including five RBIs and three runs with two home runs and a double in the Cardinals series-opening win over the Blue Jays. The Oakland, N.J. native hit 3-of-3 in game two of the series while batting 2-of-3 in game three. After the week, Cotter jumped to the top of the Landmark leaderboards with five homeruns and 36 RBIs on the season.
This is Cotter's second recognition as Landmark Athlete of the Week this season.
The nationally-ranked Cardinals head north to Baltimore, Md. to take on Johns Hopkins at 5 p.m.
