WASHINGTON - Fresh off earning his second honor as the Landmark Athlete of the Week this season, senior Brennan Cotter of The Catholic University of America baseball team has been selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.
The first baseman recorded 10 hits in 12 at-bats for a .833 batting average to help Catholic to a 3-1 week. Cotter added 10 RBIs and five runs over four games including five RBIs and three runs with two home runs and a double in the Cardinals series-opening win over the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays.
Cotter's two homers last week, land him in a four-way tie for the second most career homeruns in program history (13). The senior shares the No. 2 spot with classmate Anthony Ferlise, and alumni Chris McCloud '13 and Keith Williams '91. Recently inducted Hall-of-Famer, Neil Roach is the sole owner of the most career homeruns (17) record set in 1990.
The Cardinals return to Robert J. Talbot Field to take on Hood College at 4 p.m., on Wednesday, April 11.
