Career day earns Cordivari Player of the Week honors

WASHINGTON – One day after throwing for a career-best 459 yards in a CUA win over McDaniel, junior Greg Cordivari was named the ODAC's Offensive Player of the Week.  The Cardinals signal caller completed 31 of 48 passes and threw for three touchdowns en route to earning his second career Player of the Week award.

Cordivari's 459 yards are the most ever allowed by McDaniel and the fifth highest total in CUA history.  The 459 yards are also the most by a CUA quarterback since Keith Ricca's 530 in 2008.

A native of Downingtown, Pa., Cordivari threw the game-winning touchdown to Alonzo Cooke with 1:01 on the clock and followed up with a two-point conversion throw to Jeff Frusciante to set the final margin at three.

Cordivari's previous career-high had been 304 yards, which came vs. Apprentice School a season ago.

Cordivari and the Cardinals return to the field on Friday evening when they head across town to take on the Gallaudet Bison.  Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
