Nine Cardinals Named to All-ODAC Teams

WASHINGTON – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced the 2013 All-ODAC Teams on Tuesday, which honors nine Cardinal standouts.

Seniors Mike Pitsenberger, Alex Evans and Michael O'Shea were named to the All-ODAC First Team on the offensive side, as Anthony Albanese was named First Team on the defensive list.  Seniors Andrew Ouellette, Conor Stueckler and Mike Skehill, who was the only junior to make the list, were named All-ODAC Second Team.  Seniors Eric Hrynczyszyn and David Trancynger were listed All-ODAC Third Team.

Pitsenberger led the Cardinals with 1055 total yards rushed, seven touchdowns and a long run of 39 yards in CUA's season-close 42-19 victory over Bridgewater (Va.).  Evans, who has accepted an invitation to the 2013 FCS Senior Scout Bowl in December, caught 34 passes for 32 yards, four touchdown with 362 yards.

O'Shea earns his third straight All-ODAC selection, while fellow offensive linemen and Third Team selections Hrynczyszyn (second consecutive honor) and Trancynger helped pave the way for the Cardinals to average 29.5 points per game and an average 421.7 yards of total offense.

Albanese earns his first career All-ODAC selection after totaling 39 tackles, and leading the conference in sacks with eight and tackles for loss with 80 yards in 15 tackles.

Ouellette, who concluded the season second in receptions among his ODAC counterparts, leads the Cards with 65 catches and five touchdowns with 588 yards, and a season-high long 37-yard catch in CUA's 38-29 win against Guilford.

Stueckler ends his career with his third All-ODAC honor and as the Cardinals' defensive juggernaut with 59.5 total tackles, seven tackles for loss for 32 yards and three sacks for 19 yards.

Rounding out CUA's selections is Skehill, who assisted in CUA's defense with 38.5 total tackles, forced two fumbles and recorded two tackles for loss for five yards.
