WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America football senior Patrick Vidal earned his second D3football.com National Team of the Week award as he was tabbed as one of the top defensive tackles.
Vidal anchored a defensive charge that ceded just one score in a 10-7 win over Norwich.
The Succasunna, N.J., native registered 12 tackles (six solo) and made three of his stops behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of 10 yards.
Vidal also registered a seven-yard sack, his fourth of the season which is good for fourth in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
He also ranks third in the NEWMAC with 14 tackles for loss and eighth with 8.4 tackles per game.
Vidal is Catholic's fifth D3football weekly honoree and he is now a two-time award winner this season after he garnered the accolade in Week 2.
