WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America football team was recognized with eight honorees on the 2017 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Seniors Brook Davenport, Greg Holodak, Luke Kern and Tim Keville, juniors Mike Alberto and Matt Vilas, along with sophomores John Graham and Colin McNulty each boasted a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 to make the inaugural football team.
In addition to their GPA, each honoree must have achieved second-year academic status at his institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
All eight Cardinals have either started or played meaningful minutes for Catholic this season.
The Cards wrap up their 2017 schedule this Saturday and aim to even its overall record at .500 for the first time in four seasons as they take on Maine Maritime in NEWMAC action this Saturday at noon.
