WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America football senior Andrew DiNardo continues to add to his trophy case after a sensational season. DiNardo was honored by the Associated Press as a Second Team All-American punter.
Earlier this week he was recognized as an American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Second Team All-American.
DiNardo, the nation's leading punter with a 46.5 yards per punt average, racks up his fifth posteason honor this season.
A Street & Smith's Preseason All-American, DiNardo boasted five games with over 318 yards punted and had six games with at least a 47.5 yards per punt average. He was not blocked this season.
The Wilmington, Del., native played in the DIII National Senior Bowl Game this past Sunday in Daytona, Fla., and was honored as a D3football.com All-Region selection earlier this month. He was also a First Team All-NEWMAC honoree.
DiNardo boomed a long of 65 yards this season and put 16 of his boots inside the 20-yard line. He was also picked as the D3football.com Punter of the Week on September 12.
