SALEM, VA. (Nov. 22, 2005) -- Linebacker Bobby Stutz and wide receiver Nick Bublavi headline a contingent of nine CUA players who have been named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference team.

Stutz earned first team honors and was named Defensive Player of the Year. Stutz led the ODAC with 64.5 tackles this season with 18.5 takcles for loss, one forced fumble,  and one interception.  He was among the league leaders with six sacks.

Bublavi led all of NCAA Division III with 101 catches for 1,797 yards and 15 touchdowns. He set ODAC career records in receiving yards (4,485) and touchdowns (43) and will compete in the Aztec Bowl in Toluca, Mexico on December 17.

Offensive lineman Sean Howe, defensive end Ed Dahl, safety Nick Olivero, and punter Pete Welsh were named second team All-ODAC. Howe started all 10 games for the Cardinals while Dahl had 36 tackles for the season, including 10 tackles for loss. Olivero was second on the team in tackles with 56.5 and led the team with five interceptions for 108 yards and one returned for a touchdown. Welsh averaged 36.4 yards per punt and had a long punt of 55 yards.

Quarterback Keith Ricca and linebacker Avatus Stone earned honorable mention All-ODAC. Ricca set single-season school records with 488 yards passing in a game and throwing the longest touchdown pass in CUA history, a 96-yarder to Ryan Bowman against Guilford. Stone had 47.5 tackles in '05, including 8.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
