Annual Meeting Set for August 7th in Salem

August 5, 2009

SALEM, Va. --- The opening event of the 2009-10 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) athletic schedule has officially been set.  The 2009 ODAC Football Media Day will be held on Friday, August 7, at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia.  The annual meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Media looking to attend the event should contact the ODAC office at 540-387-9073 or by email at jnekoloff@odaconline.com.

The conference's seven head coaches will be in attendance to provide insight into each of their programs for the upcoming gridiron campaign.  Several preseason materials will also be available including select school media guides, team and composite schedules, and the preseason coaches' poll.

Each of the ODAC schools has 10 games slated for the 2009 season.  All begin play on Saturday, September 5, in non-conference action.  The ODAC-only portion of the schedule kicks off on Saturday, September 26, with a pair of league matchups.  To view the entire schedule for the upcoming season, please click HERE.
