Friends of CUA football gather to celebrate the life of Ken Dutton

WASHINGTON – On Saturday, October 2, a number of football alumni, as well as friends and supporters of the program gathered at St. Vincent's Chapel on CUA's campus to honor the life of former Cardinals coach Ken Dutton at a memorial mass.  Dutton, who coached at CUA from 1974-86, passed away in 2009.

During the mass, CUA alum Rich Frazier as well as former coaches Greg Klees and Joe Pascale spoke.  In addition, Jeff Cherry and Michael McGowan performed readings.  Joining the contingent of CUA alums were university President John H. Garvey as well as Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Mike Allen.

The ceremony took place on Homecoming Weekend and was held prior to the current Cardinals game versus Hampden-Sydney.
