RECRUITING AREAS: Virginia and Maryland
Chris Banks joins the CUA coaching staff for 2014, bringing with him an impressive collection of playing and coaching experience.  Banks, who will coach the Cardinals linebackers, most recently coached at the University of Maryland as a defensive line assistant. He was a member of the Terrapins staff for two seasons.

Prior to his time in College Park, Banks served as an assistant coach and recruiting coach for Northwest High School in Germantown, Md.  He has also coached at the University of Louisiana Monroe, the United States Naval Academy and Montgomery Community College.

Banks played collegiately at Bowie State University, where he was a two-time All-American at defensive back, and was also named Sports Illustrated’s Athlete of the Week.  Banks led the CIAA conference in interceptions as a junior and senior, and later played professionally for the Charlotte Rage and Richmond Speed of the Arena League.
