CUA Field Hockey Sweeps Goucher for Landmark Win

WASHINGTON – In the second Landmark conference win of the season, three Catholic University Cards scored goals to shutout the Goucher Gophers on Wednesday at Cardinal Stadium.

Cardinal sophomore Hayley Wright scored two back-to-back goals, with junior Kim Hermann assisting on Wright's second goal.

CUA freshman Sophia Sansone closed out the second half of play with the third goal of the game.

Cardinal junior Rebecca Lukaszcyk secured the victory with an unassisted goal at the top of the arc.

Senior Megan Comunale and freshman Analisa Scott shared goalkeeper responsibilities and tallied one save apiece.

The Cards return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 to take on Landmark foe Susquehanna at 1 p.m.
