Dennis Named Player of the Week

Full Landmark Release

WASHINGTON - Madalyn Dennis was the lone Cardinal named a Landmark Conference Player of the Week for her efforts from October 21-27.

Dennis was named the Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week. She was a critical piece in the Cardinal's 2-0 week. The sophomore has transitioned into her new role as the central back for Catholic and helped lead the defense to a 4-0 shutout of Randolph-Macon on Wednesday. The Cardinals limited the Yellow Jackets to just three shots for the entire game.

Dennis then showed she is a dual-threat by scoring the game-winning goal against Landmark foe Juniata on Saturday. CUA's 2-1 victory helps the team's seeding, as the Cardinals have clinched a spot in the upcoming playoffs.

The Cardinals are 10-4, and 4-1 in the Landmark currently sitting in a tie for second place.
