Three Cardinals honored on all-conference teams Nov 10, 2003

WASHINGTON --- Seniors Tricia Stephanie Roselle (Tinton Falls, N.J./Red Bank Catholic), Tricia Hines (Churchville, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy), and Sondra Pires (Dartmouth, Ma./Dartmouth) were named to the 2003 Capital Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams.

Roselle lead the competitive CAC in goals (15), goals per game (1.06) and game winning goals (5), and has made huge impacts since her freshman year. This season, she competed as a graduate architecture student due to a medical redshirt last year. She has garnered numerous awards including an All-Regional Second-Team, All-CAC Second-Team and CUA co-rookie of the year in her freshman season in 1999. In her sophomore year, she was named team student-athlete leader. In her junior year she was also a Second-Team All-Region and Second-Team All-CAC pick and led the team in goals.

Both a tough offensive and defensive threat, Pires has racked up the accolades during her career. This year, she also competes as a graduate architecture student due to a medical redshirt from last year. Pires was voted Second-Team All-Regional and First-Team All-CAC in 2001, Second-Team All-CAC in 2000, and CUA co-rookie of the year in 1999 along with Roselle. A fast defender, she is tenacious, tough and skilled. At center back, Pires cuts off many scoring opportunities for the opponent and charges in to take shots on goal, when she can't find an open teammate.

A three-year All-CAC selection, Hines is incredibly consistent at center midfield The go-to player regularly sets up scoring opportunities with her initiative and savvy game sense. She plays a pivotal role on both offensive (hit out) and defensive (strong-side trail) corners. As one of two captains this year, Hines was voted team rookie of the year as a freshman in 2000.

Salisbury's Tracey Lloyd was selected CAC Rookie of the Year while her head coach, Dawn Chamberlain, was voted CAC Coach of the Year.
