WASHINGTON – Fresh off its first win over a ranked team since 2007, the CUA field hockey team moved into the national rankings on Tuesday as the Cardinals debuted at No. 17 in the Kookaburra/NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll.  At 6-0, CUA is off to its best start ever and has allowed just one goal in 420 minutes of action.

CUA’s list of accolades continued with a No. 10 rating from  The Cardinals are one of only nine unbeaten teams in all of Division III and their computer rating of 96.9 is third best among all D-III schools in the South Atlantic region.

The No. 17 Cardinals will be back in action on Wednesday, September 22 when they travel to take on Mary Washington.  Game time is set for 4:30.
