CUA up to No. 10 in Top 25 poll

WASHINGTON – After picking up two wins over conference opponents last week, CUA moved up to No. 10 in this week's Top 25 poll, announced on Monday.  The Cardinals raced past Susquehanna 82-65 last Wednesday, before riding Chris Kearney's career-high 32-points to snap a 10-game losing skid against Scranton over the weekend.

All five starters reached double figures in Wednesday's 82-65 victory vs. Susquehanna at home.  The Cardinals shot 52.6 percent from the floor, including 6 of 12 from 3-point range, and Kearney shared top-scoring honors with Steve Limberiou with 19 points apiece.

In Saturday's 58-48 win over the Royals, Kearney could not be contained, sinking 15 of 24 shots en route to 32 points.  The senior scored CUA's first 14 points, and 16 of the first 18, while also totaling 12 rebounds and two blocks.

Following the two wins, CUA sits in sole possession of first place in the Landmark Conference at 5-1.

Also on Monday, Kearney was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.  The Virginia native averaged 25.5 points on 64.7 percent shooting in the two wins, to go along with 9.0 boards and 2.5 blocks.

On Wednesday, No. 10 CUA will host Goucher College at 7 p.m. inside the DuFour Center.  All of the action will be shown live on
