Fonville Selected to All-Region First Team

WASHINGTON – announced its All-Region teams on Monday and for the second consecutive season The Catholic University of America point guard Bryson Fonville was selected to the All-Mid-Atlantic First Team.

Fonville led CUA to a 2016 Landmark Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth after being recognized as a preseason All-American at the start of the year.

Last season's conference player of the year and 2015 All-American, Fonville also earned All-Landmark First Team accolades for the third-consecutive season. The Greensboro, N.C., native ranks second in the nation this year with 7.0 assists per game and was third in the Landmark with 18.5 points per game. 

His 33 points in the Landmark title game vs. then-No. 16 Susquehanna, secured CUA's NCAA postseason berth, its third in four seasons.

Fonville finishes his career with 1,649 career points, good for eighth all-time at Catholic University. His 613 total assists are also third-best in the history of the program.
