Morley leads five in double figures in win at York

YORK, Pa. - Freshman forward Will Morley scored 11 of the first 14 points as Catholic won for the fifth time in six games by winning at conference foe York (Pa.) 88-66. 

Morley helped Catholic to an early 14-10 lead before pushing their first-half advantage to as many as 14 points before the Spartans trimmed their halftime deficit to nine, 46-37. Catholic pushed the lead back out to 61-51 with 13:30 left in the game before closing the door with an 18-2 run. 

Catholic placed four players in double figures led by Morley's game-high 24 points and seven boards. Sophomore forward Matt Hilleary added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds while sophomore guard Kevin Wise added 11 and senior guard Andy Rice tossed in 10. Pat Maloney dished out a game-high six assists to go along with his nine points.

Junior John Ely paced the Spartans (10-9, 3-6) with 23 points. Catholic held Andy O'Brien, the conference's leading scorer, to six points.

The Cardinals (14-5, 6-3 CAC) shot 52% from the field and 47% from behind the arc while the Spartans shot 36% from the floor and also shot 47% from downtown. Catholic outrebounded the hosts 52-34.
