WASHINGTON --- Seniors William Morley (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) scored 20 points and Blair Mills (Hebron, Md./Wicomico) added 18 to lead Catholic to a 98-90 win over Haverford Tuesday night at the DuFour Center.

The Cardinals, which led by as much as 26 points in the second half, held off a late charge by the Fords which suffered their first loss of the season.

Jeremy Bass, who scored 35 of his game-high 38 points in the second half, helped Haverford (2-1) inch away at the CUA lead. His third three-pointer with just less than four minutes in the game cut the lead to just 83-76.

But Catholic used clutch free throws to seal the win. Mills, who added four rebounds, two assists, and three blocks, was perfect from the free-throw line, connecting on all 10 attempts.

Morley was 7-of-10 from the floor as the senior had his third straight game with double-digit figures.

Sophomore Patrick Satalin (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) added 17 points as the Cardinals (2-1) shot 53.6% (30-of-56) for the game including 34-of-42 from the charity stripe.

Catholic takes on Scranton this Saturday, November 29th here at the DuFour Center with a 4 p.m. tipoff.
