WASHINGTON, D.C.--  Fresh off his first start of the season, Nick Olivero has added another honor to his growing collection. Olivero earned Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week after helping the Cardinals gain two wins this past week.

Against Mary Washington, Olivero nailed a three-pointer to cut Mary Washington’s lead to one in overtime and then gave CUA the lead for good by tipping in a Shane Sowden miss to give CUA a 68-67 lead as the Cardinals would eventually win, 70-67.   Olivero had 11 points against St. Mary's, including two offensive rebound layups that thwarted St. Mary’s runs to aid Catholic’s 77-60 win over the Seahawks.

A starting safety for the Cardinals football team, Olivero earned second team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors for a season in which he recorded 5 interceptions for 108 yards and one touchdown.
