HERSHEY, Pa. - On Tuesday, the Catholic University men's golf team finished ninth out of 19 schools and first out of four schools from the Landmark Conference at the Elizabethtown Invitational played at Hershey Country Club.
The Cardinals totaled a 322 score with their five golfers on the day, finishing 11 strokes ahead of Susquehanna (333), 13 ahead of Juniata (335), and 20 ahead of Elizabethtown (342).
Catholic was led by freshman Alex Freedman who carded a 73 (+2) score, good for seventh place out of the 90 golfers. Freedman placed the highest out of all the players from the Landmark Conference.
Freshman Kaden Kinard followed close behind with a 77 (+6) which tied for 19th. Freshman Jack McCarthy and junior Cavan Hagerty both finished with an 86. Junior Anthony Ricci rounded out the five Cardinal golfers with a 92.
Catholic returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational at Hanover Country Club.
