TOWSON, Md. - Catholic University men's golfer Kaden Kinard was named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team after a strong performance during the 2019 season, as announced by the league office Wednesday morning.
The freshman led Cardinal golfers with two strong rounds in last weekend's Landmark Conference Championships to total 155 (+11) and tie for seventh place out of 39 total golfers, his career-best tournament finish. Kinard kept his consistency, carding a 77 on day one and following with a 78 on Saturday.
The New Castle, Del. native finished the season with an 80.53 average round score, a team-best, to garner conference recognition. Out of his 15 rounds, his best 18-hole mark was a 76 (+4) on day one of the Landmark Fall Invitational on October 20, 2018.
Kinard came on strong down the stretch, leading Catholic with the best individual score in three of the team's four last competitions, including the seventh place finish at Landmark Championships.
