WASHINGTON - The Landmark Conference men's lacrosse coaches have voted and selected Walter Hickey and Jack Drexel from Catholic to the 2014 Landmark All-Conference Teams.

Hickey was voted to the First Team while Drexel was named Second Team All-Conference. This is Hickey's second career honor, after being named to the Second Team in 2013. Drexel is picking up his first ever All-Landmark laurel.

Hickey wrapped up his senior campaign with another strong year, registering 33 points on 23 goals and 10 assists. His 23 scores were eighth most in the Landmark this season. On March 24th, the Thornwood, N.Y. native was named the Landmark Offensive Player of the Week after posting six points in a 19-7 win over Merchant Marine Academy with four goals and two assists.

On February 22nd, Hickey lifted the Cardinals to an 11-10 double overtime win over Randolph-Macon with his second goal of the afternoon. A captain this year, Hickey finishes his career with 55 goals, 13 assists, 53 ground balls, and 10 caused turnovers in 47 games.

Drexel was voted one of the top defenders in the conference this season. He scooped up 31 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers. A two year team captain, Drexel has been a starter since his freshman year.

A native of Ellicott City, My., Drexel tied his career-high of five ground balls against Merchant Marine Academy and also added three caused turnovers in the win. He wraps up his four year career with the black and red with 84 ground balls, 47 caused turnovers, one goal, and one assist in 60 games played.
