Bradley Scores Four Times as Cards Down River Hawks, 9-4

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse team stayed perfect in Landmark Conference play and improved to 11-1 overall as the Cardinals were victorious at Susquehanna on Saturday afternoon, 9-4.

Catholic scored the first three goals of the game as junior Bennett Bradley netted the only score of the first quarter. Bradley went on to score three more times in the second half, twice on man-up opportunities and added an assist for a five-point day.

Catholic held a two-goal lead at the intermission but outscored the River Hawks, 5-1, over the next 21 minutes.

Rookie goalkeeper Alex Mulyk returned to the cage for the Cards and made eight saves to move to 6-1 on the season as he outdueled Susquehanna's Dylan Abplanalp.

Catholic outshot the River Hawks, 35-28, but the Cardinals' defense also pushed 16 of Susquehanna's shot off target.

Senior Victor Licata scored twice while his classmates Jack Murphy and Ethan Rodriguez each found the back of the cage and added assists to join him with two-point afternoons.

Junior Liam Clancy rounded out the scoring as he tallied the second goal of the game just 2:15 into the second quarter.

Catholic now enjoys a short break for the Easter holiday before returning home to Cardinal Stadium on Wednesday, April 19 at 4 p.m., versus Goucher.
