WASHINGTON, D.C. - Due to the anticipated winter weather forecasted for the Washington area on Wednesday, the Catholic University men's lacrosse team's nonconference contest against Hampden-Sydney has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. The game will be played in Cardinal Stadium.
The Cardinals (1-1) picked uo their first win of the season on Saturday at Randolph-Macon, 11-9. Junior Mark Tocchio scored both of his goals, including the game-winner, in the final 9:14 as Catholic jumped out to a four goal lead and held off a late Yellow Jacket rally at Day Field.
The Cards and Tigers have met every year since 2011. Catholic won the last meeting at Cardinal Stadium, 13-12, on Feb. 22, 2017. Alex Mulyk earned the win goal, totaling 15 saves in his second career start.
Hampden-Sydney (2-0) is currently receiving votes in this week's USILA / Warrior and New Balance Division III Coaches' Poll after opening the season with a 14-7 win over Mary Washington and a 19-6 victory at Greensboro.
