Kelly, Mueller Share CAC Player of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON -- (April 18, 2005) Junior attackmen Conor Kelly (Milton, Mass./Boston College High) from Catholic University and Dave Mueller (Baltimore, Md./North County) from St. Mary's College have been named Capital Athletic Conference Co-Players of the Week for the sport of men's lacrosse for their performances during the week ending April 17. A total of six individuals were nominated for the honor.

Kelly was the Cardinals' leading scorer in a pair of one-goal losses last week, scoring six goals against St. Mary's and three more against Mary Washington in the opening round of the CAC playoffs. He finished the season with 40 goals and 17 assists for a team-leading total of 57 points.

Mueller turned in a three-goal, two-assist performance for the Seahawks in a 13-12 triumph over Catholic before scoring two goals and handing out six assists in a 20-10 victory over York in the first round of the CAC championship tournament. In addition to averaging 7.5 points per contest last week, he recorded eight ground balls.
