Catholic Men’s Soccer Predicted to Finish Second

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America 2013 men's soccer team is predicted to finish second in the Landmark Conference based on the conference's preseason poll.

With one first place vote and 46 points, CUA trailed Scranton, who finished with six first place votes and 67 points.

Catholic (13-6, 6-1) returns 10 of its 11 starters from a year ago, but will be looking to replace All-Landmark selection Mike Brennan, who tied for the team lead with seven goals in 2012. The 2012 Landmark Defensive Player of the Year, Kevin Romano, is expected to anchor the back line once again.

The Cardinals commence the 2013 season on Friday, Aug. 30 at Dickinson in Carlisle, Pa., at 7:00 p.m.
