WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America men's soccer team recorded a 0-0 draw with The University of Mary Washington after two overtime periods on Wednesday afternoon.
Junior goalkeeper Ryan Cassidy made his first career start as a Cardinal and posted a scoreless 110 minutes. The Pearl River, N.Y., native made nine saves as he faced 15 shots.
The Cardinals offense answered the Eagle attack with 16 shots of their own and two corner kick opportunities. Sophomore Mike Narzikul lead the charge with four shots while seniors Nick Joesten and Heston Priestley each took two on target.
The Cardinals, now 1-1-1 in 2017, hit the road for the Jimmy Mills Tournament at Eastern University and Haverford College. Catholic will face Eastern on Saturday, September 9 before taking on Haverford Sunday, September 10.
