MADISON, N.J. - The Catholic University men's soccer team got out to an early 1-0 lead on the road at Drew on Saturday afternoon, but two second half goals downed the Cardinals 2-1.
The Cardinals were rewarded for their early pressure in the 16th minute when a Drew (8-2) attempted clearance went into the net for an own goal. Catholic (4-4) held on to the 1-0 advantage over the defending Landmark champions into halftime.
Drew's Aidan Cserhat scored twice in the second half to put the Rangers up for good.
The Cardinals return to the pitch Tuesday, October 2 for a 4 p.m. match on the road against St. Mary's (Md.).
