TOWSON, Md. - Four members of The Catholic University of America men's soccer team received All-Landmark honors for their efforts on the pitch during the 2018 season.
Narzikul leads the four Cardinal selections, earning First Team honors for the second time in his career. Narzikul and Kennedy helped the Catholic defense allow just 19 goals this season, including an impressive four goals against Landmark teams. Alexander and Galfond earn First Team honors for the first time in their careers.
Narzikul started all 16 games in which appeared for the Cardinals. As an outside-back, the Media, Pa., native went 1-on-1 with right-wing attackers and created chances on the offensive end. Narzikul helped Catholic to an overall league goals-against average of .57. From the backline, he took ten shots and recorded two assists.
Galfond led the Catholic offense with 14 points on four goals and six assists. He scored in big moments, notching three gamewinners, including goals against conference rivals Scranton and Moravian. Hailing from Gaithersburg, Md., Galfond started 17 games as an attacking midfielder.
Alexander scored a team-high six goals in his first season with the Cardinals. The forward from Bel Air, Md. also fired in three gamewinning goals. Starting in 15 matches, Alexander added one assist and led the team with 47 shots.
Kennedy stepped up big once again the Cardinals' backline this season, playing major minutes as a consistent central defender. The 6-foot-2, Leonardtown, Md., native started 11 games and made 16 appearances for Catholic, helping them to eight shutouts and an overall 1.03 goals against average.
