Cardinals improve to 6-0 after downing Westminster 8-1

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – CUA remained unbeaten with an 8-1 win over Westminster on Tuesday.  The Cardinals swept the singles matches with Cassian Utrie, Jean Paul Roman, Brian Bradley, Jason Quisberth, Joe Peters and Kyle Kramer each earning wins. 

Utrie got things started with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nathan Huber at first singles, with Roman following with a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Drew Trifelos.

Bradley picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sean Black at the third flight and Quisberth downed Bradley Thomas 6-1, 6-0 at fourth singles.

Peters and Kramer earned identical 6-0, 6-0 wins over Ryan Carr and Mark Andino, respectively at the final two singles flights.

In doubles action, Utrie and Roman downed Huber and Mike Matisi 8-2 at the first flight, before Trifelos and Black earned Westminster's lone win of the day with a 9-8 victory at second doubles.

Bradley and Quisberth closed things out with an 8-0 sweep of Carr and Marshall Finelli at third doubles.

On Wednesday, CUA will take on Chestnut Hill beginning at 6:30 p.m.
