
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – CUA suffered its first conference loss of
the season on Saturday, falling at Moravian by a score of 6-3.
Brian Bradley won the first singles point and Schuyler Hayward
earned a win at fifth singles, but it was not effort as the
Greyhounds came away with the win.
Bradley defeated Matt Tuorto 6-3, 6-1 at 1st singles, and Hayward
picked up a 6-3, 7-6 win at the 5th flight.
Hayward and Joe Trinity teamed up for an 8-5 win at 3rd doubles
for CUA’s three points on the afternoon.
Kyle Kramer fell to John Wylie 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 at 2nd singles, while
Joe Peters suffered a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Libario Obeid at the 3rd
flight.
At 4th singles, Moravian’s Lewis Cooper defeated Jason
Quisberth 6-3, 6-1 and Trinity fell to C.J. Widdifield 6-3, 6-3 at
the 6th flight.
Bradley and Quisberth were upended 8-3 at 1st doubles, and Kramer
and Peters dropped an 8-5 decision to Cooper and Obeid at the 2nd
flight.
CUA is back in action on Tuesday afternoon when the Cardinals play
host to Susquehanna in a Landmark Conference match. Start time is
set for 1:30 p.m.
