CUA Men’s Tennis Opens Fall Play With 9-0 Victory

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University men's tennis opened fall 2013 with a 9-0 match win on Saturday, Sept. 14 in Frederick, Md., against Hood.

CUA did not give up a single set in single play beginning with a 6-2, 6-2 by No. 1 Bradley.  Lorido secured a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the No. 2 slot, Peters defeated Hood's No. 3 singles foe 6-0, 6-1, Quisberth secured a 6-0, 6-2 win as the No. 4 singles player, Trinity won 6-0, 6-0, and Conor Wilson closed out singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

The Cardinals No. 1 doubles team of Brian Bradley and Juan Lorido defeated their opposition 8-0, No. 2 doubles duo Joe Peters and Jason Quisberth conquered their hood opponents 8-0 and the No. 3 doubles team Joe Trinity and Jon Purowitz closed out the doubles action with an 8-1 win.

The Cards continue weekend action on Sunday, Sept. 15 at St. Mary's (Md.) for a 12:00 p.m. match.
