Men’s Tennis Defeats Goucher 9-0

WASHINGTON – At the conclusion of Tuesday's final home match of the season, the CUA men's tennis team extended its conference win streak to four consecutive games on a 9-0 sweep of the Goucher Gophers. 

Juan Lorido, who conquered his opponent in three sets, notched his 13th win of the season and his 12th win as the No. 1 singles player.

1. Juan Lorido defeated Seth Hoesman (Gocher) 6-0, 3-6, 10-7

2. Brian Bradley defeated David Spivey (Gocher) 6-3, 6-4

3. Cassian Utrie defeated Midori Fujitani (Gocher) 6-0, 6-3

4. Joe Peters defeated Pat Murnin (Gocher) 6-0, 6-1

5. Jason Quisberth defeated John Bescoby (Gocher) 6-3, 6-3

6. Rocky Alaqbani defeated William Felinski (Gocher) 6-2, 6-1

Lorido and Utrie added to their unblemished doubles record with 8-4 win on the No. 1 doubles slot for their fourth win of the season.  No. 2 doubles players Peters and Quisberth won 8-2, as Bradley and Alaqbani won 8-1.

Catholic concludes the season on the road taking on Scranton on April 12 and Drew on April 14.
