Lorido Wins Second Landmark Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week Award

WASHINGTON – For the second time in three weeks the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week award belongs to The Catholic University of America junior Juan Lorido.

Needing two wins to secure its berth in the Landmark Conference Championship Tournament, Lorido led way for the Cardinals as they downed Drew and Susquehanna to clinch the No. 3 seed.

Lorido was fantastic for head coach Rich Bausch, competing in the top spot for the Cards in both matches. The third-year standout won all four of his matches over the weekend, winning two No. 1 singles bouts and teamed with senior Rocky Alhaqbani to win both No. 1 doubles matches.

The Cardinals now travel to No. 2 Juniata on Wednesday at 3 p.m., in the Landmark Conference Semifinals.
