Fortunati, Tiu Named to All-Landmark Second Team

TOWSON, Md. - For the second-straight season, the Catholic University men's tennis team had at least two players earn all-conference honors as sophomore Frankie Fortunati and senior Ted Tiu were both named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team on Friday.

Both players earned their first all-conference selection as Fortunati was named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team in singles while the two of them were selected to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team in doubles.

Fortunati led the team in wins in both singles and doubles this season. He posted a 7-8 singles record, including a mark of 7-7 in dual matches, and led the team with a 4-3 record in Landmark Conference contests. He was also named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on April 8.

The team of Fortunati and Tiu led the team with four doubles victories, tying them with the duo of freshman Paul Smith and junior Kyle Weber.

Tiu finished his career with 15 singles wins and 14 doubles victories.

Last year, Jan Lasota was named to the first team in singles while the team of Lasota and Rob Alexander earned second team honors in doubles.
