Cardinals Compete at Messiah Invitational

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University men's track & field team competed at the Messiah College Invitational and earned four points.

Greg Daley had the best finish of the day and picked up three points for the Cardinals in the 110 Meter Hurdles. He crossed the finish line in 17.84 seconds for sixth place.

John Brewer earned the other point for Catholic in the 800 Meter run with a 2:01.47 time and an eighth place finish. Jacob Maclin ran a 2:03.03 time for 13th place, while Chris Derks came in 16th with a time of 2:04.54 in the same event.

Gordon Pisani came in ninth in the 5000 Meter run with a 17:34.93 time, just ahead of Michael Wood, who's 17:57.54 time earned him 11th.

Michael Kvartunas, Robert Leeson, Maclin, and Jamil Marzouka teamed up in the 4x400 Meter relay and came in ninth with a time of 3:38.75.

The Cardinals will have next weekend off before traveling to the Penn Relays on April 23-24.
