Cardinals Have Final Tune-Up Before Landmark Championships

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University men's track & field team had its final tune-up before next weekend's Landmark Conference Championships as the Cardinals competed at the annual Susquehanna Invite.

Senior Brian Seward continued his impressive indoor season as he posted two top-three finishes. He took silver in the 200 with a time of 23:18 seconds. and bronze in the 400 at 52.34.

Sophomore Joseph LaPointe showed his speed as the fastest Landmark runner in the mile as he finished third overall with a time of 4:31.43. LaPointe also took eighth in the 800 at 2:04.67.

Senior Dustin Vanella added a top-10 finish in the weight throw as he took eighth with a toss of 12.69 meters.

The conference meet is set for Saturday, February 24, beginning at 10 a.m.
