Men’s Track & Field Totals Six All-Landmark Honors

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America men's indoor track & field team posted the highest team finish in program history this past weekend at the 2018 Landmark Conference Championships thanks to six all-league performances.

Sophomore Joseph LaPointe led the way for Catholic with two All-Landmark Second Team accolades. LaPointe earned the silver in the mile as he was just edged in a photo-finish with a time of 4:24.63.

LaPointe went on to team with senior Brian Seward, junior Derek Chapey and sophomore Cosmo Pirozzi to put forth an impressive performance and yet another photo finish in the 4x400 relay to take another silver at 3:29.75.

Catholic also got a strong field performance from junior pole vaulter Chadd Ziegler cleared 4.40 meters to earn a Second-Team All-Landmark honor.
