Seward Wins Third Track Athlete of the Week Award

WASHINGTON — For the third time in just over a month senior Brian Seward of The Catholic University men's track & field team was honored as the Landmark Conference Track Athlete of the Week.

Seward was a four-time winner at the Gallaudet Bison Invitational as he helped the Cardinals to the team win over DI George Washington, Mary Washington, the host Bison and three other squads.

The Sicklerville, N.J., native picked three wins in the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes as he went 11.17, 22.57 and 51.19 seconds for the victories.

Seward made it four wins on the day as he was part of the 4x100 relay that crossed in 44.85 seconds along with junior Derek Chapey, sophomore Brian Aberle and junior Peter Binck.

Next up for the Cards is the 2018 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 5.
