Catholic Places 14th at the Millersville Metrics

MILLERSVILLE, Pa, - The Catholic University men's track and field team finished 14th at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday.

Junior Joseph LaPointe led the Cardinals with a second place finish in the men's 800m with a personal best 1:56.91. Classmate Cosmo Pirozzi followed just behind with a sixth-place finish (1:57.88).

Sophomore Mike Dreitlein finished 10th in the men's 110 hurdles with a personal best 16.50. In the men's 400m, senior Peter Binck placed 13th with a time of 52.49.

In the field events, sophomore Joseph Galassi finished seventh in the javelin with a throw of 53.16m. Rookie CeeJa Beckett finished 14th in the men's long jump (6.24m).

Catholic will return to action on Saturday, April 13 at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian College.
