Catholic Place Second at Eagle Invitational

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Catholic University men's track and field team placed second at the Eagle Invitational hosted by the University of Mary Washington on Saturday.

In the field events, junior Ryan Schodowski finished sixth in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 30.28m. His teammate, sophomore Tim O'Brien finished right behind in seventh. The West Long Branch, N.J. native posted a mark of 26.18m.

On the track, sophomore Mike Dreitlein won bronze in the men's 110 hurdles, running a 16.72. Senior Peter Binck also had a strong performance running a 51.44 to place fourth in the 400m. Freshman Dashaun Dunmeyer finished fifth in the men's 200m (25.90).

In the distance events, freshman Paul Gillett placed seventh in the men's 1500m with a time of 4:40.77

Catholic returns to action on Saturday, May 4 at the Landmark Conference championships.
