COLLEGE PARK, Md.- The Catholic University of America men's track and field squad ran at the University of Maryland in an unscored meet on Saturday.  The Cards went up against mainly D-I institutions but still made an impact in a number of events.

Michael Doster (Wayne, Pa./Wayne Valley) was the highest placing runner of the day taking
21st in the 400 with a time of 51.59.  Junior captain John Mason (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) was the highest placing field athlete with a 13th place in the weight throw tossing a 31-08.50.

In the running events, the Cards showed their aptitude in the distance races with Paul Santuoso (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) taking 26th (4:52.33) and Andrew Cvitanovic (New Orleans, La./Jesuit) coming in at 28th (4:54.33).  Andrew Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Bolton) had a good day in the in the 3,000 running to a 9:27.24 for 29th place overall.

In the field events three Cards put together a strong performance in the shot put.  Stephen Priere was 25th with a 32-11.00, Nolan Converse (Valley Forge, Pa./Devon Prep) took 27th throwing a 32-02.25 and Louis D'Onofrio (West Haven, Conn.) rounded it out in 28th with a 30-06.50.

CUA will travel to the Lebanon Valley Invitational next weekend to continue the indoor season.
