Cards Fly High at Lebanon Valley


LEBANON, Pa.- The Cardinal men's track team competed at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Saturday in Pennsylvania.  CUA boasted some top performances at the unscored meet including three first place finishes.

On the track Mike Doster won the 400 in a time of 55.2 and took second in the 55 meter hurdles running an 8.4.  The 4x400 meter relay was also a top finisher in a time of 3:46.7.  Andrew Smith placed third in two events running the 1600 in 4:56.7 and the 5000 in 16:59.0.  

In the field, Jacob Herring took first in the long jump with a distance of 19-3.5 and second in high jump making 5'6" as well as the triple jump going 39-1.  Senior captain John Mason also had a strong day with second place in the weight throwing 38-9.  Ken Lorrence placed third in the triple jump with a 38-11.      

The Cards will be back in Pennsylvania next weekend competing at the Ursinus meet.
